Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for an Admin Assistant to begin work for an Electrical Contractor in the Huntingdon area.


The Role
The role will be based in Huntingdon to support the company director and small field-based team. The Administrator role is a pro-active, creative and collaborative, self-motivated role to support the team in delivering their priorities. This role will develop the admin framework to support its growth.

  • Independently and proactively resolve issues and challenges relating to administrative requests
  • Handles calendars, resolving meeting conflicts in a timely manner and bookings when necessary
  • Lead the practical arrangements and contribute to the preparations of internal and external meetings, such as staff appraisals and Site visits for Quotes
  • Handles confidential information and maintains the security of HR records and files
  • Performing data entry & analysis, including updating records and databases for personnel, financial and legal information, such as timesheet management
  • Managing Travel and Event management for company events
  • Provides specialist projectbased support when required
  • Manages Fleet Vehicles
  • Handling billing cycles for the business, Purchase orders, company invoices and payments overdue
  • Managing inventory of office & storage supplies, including stationery, equipment to ensure smooth office & storage operations
  • Accurate monthly expenses reports for timely submission using online tools (SimPro)
  • Develop new best practices to support efficient office and company management
  • Performs other administrative tasks using independent judgement and discretion
  • Plans and schedules own workload so that all activities are completed accurately and on time

Essential Requirements

  • Selfmotivated and able to work with independently with minimum supervision
  • Relevant administrative experience
  • Ability to follow up on action items from meetings independently
  • Ability to format documents for consistent, professional appearance
  • Experience with a variety of tools & systems such as Microsoft packages and online tools

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience using Excel and other software to manipulate data and run reports
  • Experience running SimPro
  • Experience in the electrical or construction industry
  • Willingness to learn and expand the role into other sectors of the business as it grows
