An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Teaching Personnel, a leading provider of education recruitment services, in a long-term placement as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. This role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our SEN provision in Cambridge.

Upon a successful probationary period, the school would take applicants on permanently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in the classroom and one-on-one, to ensure they reach their full potential.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of education health care plans (EHCPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
  • Have a good understanding and upload key safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • A positive attitude and a passion for education, with a commitment to delivering high-quality support to students with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills to build effective relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Previous experience in SEN is desirable but not mandatory, as we provide comprehensive training and support to ensure success in this role.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet the needs of students and the school.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle preferred, but not essential.
