Anaemia Programme Clinical Lead

The Anaemia workstream is a priority of the Blood Health National Oversight Group (BHNOG) and a deliverable of the NHS Wales Blood Health Plan.
Current focus of the workstream is the perioperative setting and work to date includes development of the All Wales Perioperative anaemia pathway, the aim of which is to maximise opportunity for equitable anaemia identification and treatment ahead of scheduled surgery to improve patient outcomes and reduce unnecessary blood transfusions.
To support full implementation of the All Wales pathway, funding has been secured via the Values Based Healthcare (funding ending This is national programme, managed by the Welsh Blood Service (Velindre UNHST).
We are seeking a Clinical Lead to join this innovative national programme.This post is offered at 0.2WTE and on a fixed term/secondment basis, initially until based on current funding cycle).
