A fixed-term opportunity has arisen for an Administrator within our Impact and Innovation Directorate, supporting the Research Contracts, Licensing & Information Services, Business Development and Communications and Engagement functions.
This is an incredibly busy role which offers lots of variety and interaction with 40 members of staff, whilst supporting three Function Heads and Business Development Managers.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Research Contracts Team in the drafting of simple template contracts and chasing for contracts where negotiations have stalled
- Organising meetings, arranging video & teleconferencing, and booking meeting rooms
- Booking travel; including international travel and logistics support
- Handling purchase orders and credit card purchases
- Support the Training Business Development Manager in the management of facetoface and online training courses
- Taking minutes at cross functional meetings
- Can work effectively as part of a team and provide high quality support to numerous individuals
- Has professional communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral)
- Can work independently and prioritise a demanding and busy workload with excellent organisational skills
- Is enthusiastic and builds good relationships throughout the organisation
- Strong attention to detail, accurate and numerate
- Good working knowledge of MS suite (especially Excel) with confidence working on simple databases, hosting online meetings (Teams, Zoom) and managing online systems, such as course booking systems or online learning platforms
