The Repairs and Maintenance Administrator role:

As a
Repairs and Maintenance Administrator, you will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for supporting the Asset team in providing administrative support required for preparation of information and reports for Senior Management.

This is a new role which has been brought about following a recent review of the organisation. As a member of the team you will provide administrative support to internal and external customers.

Overall job responsibilities of our Repairs and Maintenance Administrator:
The duties within the role vary from day to day, some of the core duties within the role will be:

  • Being the first point of contact and delivering excellent customer service for Housing and Property queries
  • Provide administrative support to enable the effective delivery of a responsive maintenance and asset management service
  • Ensure timely and accurate storage and retrieval of data relating to repairs and maintenance service
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure excellent standard of customer service
  • Answer and process all telephone calls accurately within specified targets and standards

Skills, Experience and Knowledge required as our Repairs and Maintenance Administrator:

  • Experience in working in a Reactive and Planned Work environment such as a Housing Association, Local Authority, Charity or Main contractor
  • Previous experience of working in a Repairs Administrators role
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, including the ability to explain write clear and concise professional reports
  • The ability to work well under pressure and manage a busy workload
  • Excellent understanding of Health and Safety legislation, regulation and best practice in relation to premises and operation activity
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Able to work well under pressure, working to strict deadlines without compromising content and services
  • Strong IT skills, proficient use of MS Office and experience of Housing Management/Repairs databases and spreadsheets
  • Commitment to working in accordance with YMCA Heart of England's ethos and values.
  • Experience providing demonstrable, knowledge and understanding
  • A good general level of education, including GCSE in Maths and English
  • A full UK/EU driving licence and use of a car insured for business purpose
