As a Maintenance Operative with Rehability UK, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to perform routine maintenance tasks, including checks on equipment, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual checks on equipment and systems.
  • Perform basic electrical checks on all equipment, ensuring plugs and cables are in good condition.
  • Ensure fire checks are completed, including the fire alarm system, fire extinguisher, and fire doors.
  • Maintain all equipment and tools in a clean, safe, and secure manner.
  • Submit monthly meter readings of gas, electricity, and water to the Administrator/Manager.
  • Ensure deliveries are stored and checked as appropriate.
  • Keep all storage areas clean and tidy, with security maintained.
  • Undertake general redecoration works as instructed by the Home Manager.
  • Perform ground maintenance and ensure the site is weed-free.
  • Use and maintain equipment provided in a safe and secure manner.
  • Liaise with the Home Manager and Facilities Manager at least once a week to discuss maintenance issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of basic maintenance operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
