Full-time Independent Living Co-Ordinators required in Preston, Lancashire

Hays are currently recruiting Independent Living Co-Ordinators in the Preston area to join a Social Housing team on a temporary ongoing contract, with the potential to extend and become full time.

The successful post holder will have a prior knowledge of housing management legislation and tenancy management principles, and will have ideally worked within Social Housing previously.

This role will involve travelling between schemes, so a UK driving licence with own mode of transport is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for a number of houses within your assigned area and keeping in regular contact with residents to ensure their safety, wellbeing and safeguarding is always upheld
  • Maintaining regular onsite presence at all schemes in your area, identifying any housing management or resident wellbeing concerns are noted and providing an efficient and suitable resolution
  • Carrying out regular risk assessments
  • Attending local authority panel meetings and liaising with external contractors/agencies where necessary
  • Ensure purchase orders and invoices are managed promptly
  • Managing void properties, tenancy enforcement and investigating reports of antisocial behaviour
  • Ensure maintenance repairs are monitored and residents are kept informed of any works due to be carried out

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload, and also collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of housing management legislation and housing/tenancy management principles
  • UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
