Role Purpose and Team:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the substance misuse navigation service, as the Senior Navigator leading two Navigators, supported by a Recovery Support worker, and the Service Manager, To support people with a primary substance, need with co-existing multiple needs including 0ffending behaviour, learning difficulties and perpetrators of domestic abuse access services and lead a more fulfilling life.
The team will utilise an assertive engagement approach to encourage clients to access the project and thereafter provide flexible, client-centred and individualised casework support.
The project worker will be working with in an outreach capacity to enable clients to access the services and interventions they need to build their resilience, gain confidence and acquire the personal and social assets they need to meet their aspirations.
In addition to carrying a caseload, the post holder will work as a senior member of the team supporting the Service Manager by demonstrating day to day senior navigator leadership and performing a range of delegated tasks from the list of duties noted in the job description.
While the Service Manager ultimately holds full responsibility and accountability for the duties listed as part of their role, one of the key purposes of the senior role is to step in and take responsibility when the Service Manager is absent from the project for reasons such as leave, off site at meetings/ training or during any unplanned absence (illness).
