About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Concerned Other Worker to join our team at Leeds City Council. As a Concerned Other Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by someone else's substance misuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brief interventions and assessments to identify individual needs and risks, including safeguarding.
  • Providing a structured program of individual support and onward referral and exit planning.
  • Working effectively with concerned others of varying abilities, including those who may be distressed.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills to provide information and practical/emotional support.
Requirements
  • 2 years' full-time experience working in social and/or healthcare settings, managing a caseload.
  • Good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
