About the Role: The Bridge Project collaborates with Project 6 and Humankind to provide a comprehensive adult substance misuse service for the Bradford and Craven District. Our mission is to assist individuals in addressing alcohol and drug misuse while minimizing risk-taking behaviors through targeted prevention, intervention, and support.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Concerned Other Worker who possesses the necessary skills to excel in this permanent, part-time position. The role will be based across various service site locations, and it is essential to have a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide support to individuals impacted by someone else's substance misuse.
  • Conduct brief interventions and assess individual needs and risks, including safeguarding considerations.
  • Deliver structured programs of individual support, including onward referrals and exit planning.
  • Utilize strong listening and communication skills to offer information and emotional support to concerned others, both in person and via telephone.

Qualifications: To qualify for this role, candidates must have a minimum of two years of full-time experience in a social or healthcare setting, managing a caseload effectively.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a committed and passionate individual with a positive and engaging demeanor. The successful candidate will be highly organized, capable of managing time efficiently, and responsive to internal referrals to maintain a high-quality service. A solid understanding of the challenges faced by concerned others or individuals with substance misuse issues is essential, along with a good working knowledge of mental health interventions and best practices.

Additional Information: Flexibility in working hours is required for this position. Candidates must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
