St Austell, Cornwall, United Kingdom Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Full time
An opportunity has arisen to provide comprehensive clerical and administrative support for Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust.

We require an enthusiastic, self-motivated, organised, efficient Clerical Assistant to join the team at the Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service office based at St Austell Community Hospital.

The Band 2 Clerical Assistant role must have excellent office management skills and involves preparing, typing and managing clinics for a number of clinicians; and a range of other service activities, under the supervision of the Band 3 Team Secretary

Interview date:
Monday 6thFebruary 2023.

The Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service is a well-established specialist nurse led second level assessment resource that serves the whole population of the county.

We deliver services for all members of the population including children, adults and elders (including frailty); learning and physically disabled; mental health; maternity; children with special needs or under safeguarding; long-term conditions (e.g.

MS, diabetes, stroke, Parkinson's, spina bifida etc.); dementia and spinal cord injured people.

Referrals are received from RCHT, Derriford, GPs, Adult Social Care, District Nursing, Children's Services, Education and Cornwall Foundation Trust staff (including self-referrals).

This is an extremely busy role, and you must have effective organisation and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

You must be able to prioritise, organise and delegate workload - liaising with the rest of the team to ensure the most effective and efficient use of time.

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

We are a people organisation and people matter to us.

As part of the team, you'll help support the health and wellbeing of the people who live and visit this beautiful part of the UK.

Over 4,000 people make up the Trust. This includes doctors, nurses, therapists, plus admin and support staff.

We work in people's homes, in community clinics and bases. Some staff work from one of our 13 community hospitals.

Our aspiration is to have great people, provide great care, be a great place to work and a great partner.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
