Advanced Surgical Care Practitioner

The post holder will be an Advanced Surgical Care Practitioner (ASCP) in the specialty of Trauma and Orthopaedics.

This role will require the SCP to working against the 4 pillars of advanced practice:
Clinical - Extensive theatre experience of major orthopaedic procedures. Autonomous Clinical management of orthopaedic patients in the ward area/theatre and out patient settings.

Education - delivery of education to MDT. Support mentorship to multi professional trainees. Responsible for own development and education needs. Maintain live portfolio of evidence around AP in the context of surgical care practice.

Research - carry out Audit/QI/service evaluation/ research in relation to practice.

Leadership - lead on service change, contribute to key HB strategy development groups.

We welcome applicants from Nursing, ODP and AHP backgrounds.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
