About the Role
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our team in the Theatre Department at Princess of Wales Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anaesthesia care and assistance to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Develop skills and knowledge through rotation through anaesthetic areas and participation in training programs.
- Work towards the highest standards of patient care in anaesthesia, reflecting the standards and values of the Local Health Board.
- Support the Deputy Clinical Lead/Clinical Lead in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Support the Deputy Clinical Lead/Clinical Lead on duty in providing a safe, effective, and efficient delivery of the service.
- Support the development of students within the area.
- Occasionally required to ensure an effective service in the absence of a Deputy Clinical Lead/Clinical Lead.
Main Duties
- Theatre Practitioner Anaesthetics
- Work in Main Theatres covering a variety of specialties.
- Contribute to service development across the perioperative pathway, identifying opportunities and supporting individuals in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Participate in emergency cover, 24/7, 365 days a year, with on-call provision.
- Work with a range of surgical specialties, including Emergency/Trauma, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmic, Urology, and Paediatrics.
