Based in the Unit Personnel Office HMS Collingwood, this role provides a flexible service to meet the contracted administration requirements for achieving Royal Navy voyages.

The position is allied to a Travel Services Section and there is the potential to rotate through various elements of professional responsibilities when required to meet the needs of the business.

Training can be provided, where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide a dedicated day-to-day focal point for the administration of the Royal Navy's Voyage scheme.
  • Liaise with RN Career Managers and Shipping companies on windows of availability for Voyages.
  • Liaise with 3rd party shipping companies and local shipping agents on the reception, accommodation and transport of RN personnel to vessels.
  • Facilitate the accurate and timely delivery of travel and related services.
  • Control and maintain a Government Procurement Card. Collate and maintain budgetary related information including invoices and receipts.
  • Administer RN personnel and maintain paperwork associated with RN Voyage Scheme, including Joining Instructions, Feedback reports and associated documentation.
  • Comply with the General Data Protection Regulations.
  • Contribute to a safe working culture adhering to the Health and Safety procedures, processes and the law at all times.
  • Undertake any other tasks as determined by the Line Manager, including support/cover for other staff and occasional support for public events within the SE area.

  • Good all round standard of education (5 GCSE Grade C or relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2/3).

Additional Information**- Security clearance and DBS Standard will be a requirement.

  • The Contract operates a 37.5 hour working week between the hours of 0730 and 1700 Mon to Fri only.
  • Required to wear approved company work wear.
