Summary We're looking for a Lettings Officer to join our Estate Management team who look after our portfolio of let land and buildings across Hampshire, Isle of Wight and South Downs.

Working as part of a wider let estate team you'll use your expertise and consultancyskills to support in the letting and ongoing management of our residential properties and other miscellaneous lettings across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

We're supportive of hybrid working; with time split between home, property offices and some timeeach week at our Micheldever Hub office, near Winchester.

What it's like to work here Reporting to the Estate Manager, you'll be a part of the Let Estate team who work together to support the management of our tenancies and assets that, together with the relationships we have with our tenants, underpins our national £40m+ annual rental incomeand is essential to the delivery of our conservation work.

The Let Estate Team is a multi-disciplinary group of property professionals including surveyors, asset managers and building supervisors. We're looking for someone that can become a really valued member of this friendly and confident team.


The National Trust is the UK's biggest private landowner, and you'll support with the management of the properties it owns and protects.


What you'll be doing You'll be responsible for managing the condition and maintenance, letting and ongoing management of our residential let estate which includes the Hinton Ampner, Slindon and Mottisfont estates where the National Trust owns a large proportion of the village.


You'll work closely with the property and consultancy teams to provide the highest quality service to your colleagues and our tenants.

You'll ensure high standards are maintained across the let estate; appropriate income generating opportunities are realised;and excellent tenant relationships are sustained.

You'll ensure that NT cottages are places where people want to live - and to stay.

Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from you, if you have:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of residential lettings environment and an understanding of the local market
  • Some understanding of residential property refurbishment and the ability to produce specifications
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Strong data management and analytical skills and the ability to support managers in the decision making through provision of data
  • Consulting skills of listening, building trust and acting to deliver a highquality service
