Job Purpose:


Our group co-ordinator's main role will be to co-ordinate the school groups and look after their welfare to ensure the smooth running of the day whilst they on a residential experience.


Responsibilities of Appointment:

Putting safety first.

Planning, preparation, and delivery of high-quality activities and/or training in line with Safety Management Procedures and Best Practice.

Organise and co-ordinate the arrival and departure of the group

Ensure mealtimes run smoothly and organise the young people for basic chores

Ensure the accommodation areas are kept clean, tidy and organised at all times.

Liaise with teaching staff about outcomes and feedback to the centre manager

Support the catering team if needed

Cover the overnight on call staff responsibilities


Delivery of activities for which you hold the appropriate qualifications, or for which you have been in-house assessed, and assisting alongside staff of a relevant level of qualification or experience.

Present yourself in line with the company standards Including delivering a high level of customer service.

Promoting and enabling social development opportunities.

Contribute towards the centre remaining budget focused.

Maximising sales of centre specific products, merchandise, and tuck.

Active maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure the ongoing safety of clients and staff.

Contribute towards the development of physical resources (buildings, land, and equipment as appropriate).


Any other reasonable duties commensurate with your role and level of remuneration, which may from time to time be required by the business.

Outdoor First Aid Qualification (min 16 hour)

Experience in proficiently delivering of team building activities

A passion for delivering outdoor adventure and education

High level of customer service

A positive work ethic (a can-do attitude).

Flexible approach to working hours and able to work away if required

Desirable:

National governing body awards, i.e. ML, RCI, Paddles Sports Coach, RYA DI, etc, or equivalent.

Other national governing awards, in house signoffs or activity experience, i.e. bush craft, Team Building, Archery, High Ropes, RPIOL or APIOL.

Personal supporting knowledge of a broad range of outdoor and adventurous activities

Experience of youth work or working with emotional, learning and behavioural difficulties

Proven ability to manage challenging situations and leadership and influencing skills.

Full UK driving licence with D1 or +E entitlement.

Experience towing a trailer.

Pay & Remuneration:

NLW plus increments dependent on qualifications and experience.


28 days holiday (pro rata for the contract duration) including bank holidays (you may be required to work some bank holidays).


Working Hours:

Due to the variation of our activities and changing customer requirements our working day is of a flexible nature. Working days are normally approximately 8 hours and include weekend and bank holiday working.

The nature of this role will result in a lot of evening work and night duties.
