Information about the Role:
Working as a Care Activities Coordinator at The Grange your duties will include the following:
- To lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice, and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.
- To create a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy.
- To work with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly.
- To engage the local community into the daily lives of residents by initiating contact with local community groups enabling residents to partake / continue with hobbies and interests as desired.
Information about the Service:
The Grange is a wheelchair accessible residential care home providing support and accommodation for up to 27 individuals who have a physical disability or neurological condition.
We support individuals who have cerebral palsy, an acquired brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida and hydrocephalus, as well as individuals living with Parkinson's or Huntington's Disease.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications:
Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people.
- Ideally 6months experience as an Care Activities Coordinator or 1 year working as an experienced Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant or Community Carer.
- Ability to work on shift/rota pattern.
- Have the right to the work in the UK
