We are partnering with an outstanding Legal 500 company that has multiple offices throughout the United Kingdom. Founded by former Eversheds and Clifford Chance Lawyers, this company is dedicated to offering top-notch legal services across various commercial sectors. Currently, they are in search of an individual to collaborate closely with the COLP/COFA/MLRO to ensure that the company continues to operate in accordance with all SRA and regulatory guidelines. As a Compliance Manager, your responsibilities will include staying updated on legal and regulatory changes, creating and executing a comprehensive compliance program company-wide, reviewing company policies and procedures, internal and external audits, as well as conducting firm-wide risk assessments. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone to elevate their career from a smaller, more localized firm, and engage in diverse compliance work on a broader scale.

What are we looking for?

  • You must be a qualified E&W solicitor
  • Proven experience managing compliance in a smaller law firm (additional points if you have prior exposure as a COLP/COFA/MLRO)
  • Familiarity with file audits, complaints handling, SRA audits, risk assessments, and comprehensive firm-wide compliance
  • Prior experience overseeing PII renewals
  • Ideally, a minimum of 4 years in compliance roles
