We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our team at QED Legal. As a key member of our compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring our firm operates in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.
About the RoleThis is a broad and challenging role that requires a strong understanding of compliance principles and practices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective compliance programs, reviewing policies and procedures, conducting internal and external audits, and identifying and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure the firm's adherence to regulatory requirements
- Review and update policies and procedures to ensure they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct internal and external audits to identify and mitigate risks
- Collaborate with the COLP and COLP team to ensure effective compliance
- Stay up-to-date with changes in law and regulations and provide guidance to the firm
- Qualified E&W solicitor with experience in compliance
- Experience leading compliance in a smaller law firm (bonus if you have experience as COLP/COFA/MLRO)
- Knowledge of file audits, complaints, SRA audits, risk assessments, and firm-wide compliance
- Experience undertaking PII renewals
- Ideally 4+ years of experience in compliance
- Salary up to £65k
