Loading Shovel/ Plant Operator

Sylvagen is an established company operating in the waste, recycling, and renewable fuel sectors. We are looking to add a hardworking and positive individual to join our processing yard in Alton, East Hampshire.

What we're looking for:

A dynamic and experienced operator who has ideally worked within a processing yard that uses shredding equipment. You must be self-motivated and able to work alone with a problem-solving can-do attitude.

A little about you:


The role would be ideal for an experienced and certified machine operator who has previously worked in either a wood, green waste, or waste processing yard.

You must also be willing to help with maintenance and general yard duties.

This role includes (but is not limited to):

  • Operating loading shovels to feed processing equipment
  • Operating 360 excavator to feed processing equipment
  • Pushing up stockpiles
  • Loading lorries
  • General yard duties to include
  • Machinery maintenance
  • Refuelling
  • Shift Clean downs
  • Housekeeping & tidiness

The package:

Salary indication:
£ £15.00 per hour

Holidays: 28 days (Inclusive of Bank Holidays)

Working hours: 7.00am to 5.30pm (some flexibility required)

Working Days:
Monday to Friday (47.5 hours) & every other Saturday (morning shift of 5 hours) with potential of overtime available

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Pay:
£13.00-£15.00 per hour
