The Role:


To create purchase orders for pharmaceutical stock, process goods received onto the stock control system, process goods which require to be returned to suppliers and liaise with suppliers.

To support the procurement process for new and specialised pharmaceuticals

What we'll need you to bring*:
Practical knowledge of office systems gained through SVQ111 or equivalent***Experience of working in an office procurement environment

Understanding of Standing Financial Instructions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages

Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

It would be great if you also have:
Practical knowledge of office systems gained through SVQ III or equivalent.

Experience and understanding of pharmaceutical terminology

Ability to work under pressure.

Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload

Demonstrate customer awareness/focus.

To participate in public holiday working.

To be flexible and willing to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department.

Location and Working Pattern:

This role will be based in Pharmacy within University Hospital Wishaw.

The working pattern for this role Monday-Friday; 9:00-5:00
