Position:

An opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer – Health Records based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

To provide a clerical service to clinicians throughout the division, ensuring that procedures are in place to initiate and maintain accurate and up to date patient case records to support clinical care. Duties include the maintenance and filing of patients confidential records, recording patient related data, admissions and booking out-patient appointments using the computerised Patient Management System. You will provide reception services, answering telephones and relaying messages.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should be able to work flexibly in order to meet service demands.

You should possess SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills. You should have a ECDL (European Computer Drivers Licence) or equivalent.

Hours:

17.5 per week.

This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity in 12 months.

Shift Pattern: 

Monday, Tuesday: 8.45am – 3.15 pm

Wednesday: 8.45am- 2.45pm
