Meadowbank is a 12 bedded 24 hour 7 day a week mental health rehabilitation unit for adult males and is located on the Berrywood Hospital site.

It sits within the organisation's Mental Health Recovery Pathway and is a countywide service.

Its primary role is to re-integrate individuals back into the community to regain a meaningful life by supporting and enabling them in their daily living skills through development of awareness/understanding of their diagnosis via relapse prevention work and increasing responsibility for self-management.

Meadowbank is unique in that it supports development of skills for community survival in an environment that aims to replicate the demands of every-day living, including the opportunity to explore employment.

People who may benefit from rehabilitation will be identified as early as possible within their care pathway to enable the development of positive relationships and a thorough understanding of that person's needs.


In order to support a seamless transition for the individual the post holder will be working in an integrated skill mix team, including Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and other qualified clinicians and will help facilitate close liaison with other community mental health and in-patient services the Local Authority, and a wide range of non-statutory service providers.
