We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse or Allied Health Professional who is looking for a new and exciting challenge in their leadership journey.
The department consists of two cardiac catheter labs and a recovery area, providing excellent, person centred care to patients undergoing a range of interventional and electrophysiology procedures.
Main duties of the job
As the Cardiac Catheter Lab Manager you will be responsible for the effective management of the two Cardiac Catheter Labs and recovery area, that provide holistic care to elective cases and inpatients admitted to University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. You will provide excellent clinical leadership, with responsibility for ensuring high standards of nursing care and patient safety.
As an experienced practitioner the successful candidate will be expected to create an environment of continuous quality improvement and service development working with the Matron, Head of Nursing, Operational Managers and Clinical Teams to support a growing service.

Communication
To communicate complex information effectively to staff both medical and
non-medical, patients and their relatives.
Provide and receive complex and contentious information e.g., explanation of diagnosis, procedures, and risk factor management.
Overcome barriers to understanding due to intellectual, cultural, or physical limitations.
Communicate effectively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team both within and outside the cardiac directorate e.g. clinical nurse specialists,
physiologists, radiographers, endoscopy team.
Computer literate.
