Mechanical Design Engineer at RSE
Our Operations & Maintenance team (O&M) is searching for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team full-time at our office in Muir of Ord.
The O&M team handles various projects related to the repair, replacement, design, and installation of equipment and plant systems for Utility services (Water and Power) across sectors like Transport, Food & Beverage, and Oil & Gas industries in Scotland including the Northern and Western Isles.
You will play a key role in project aspects from scoping and detailed design to implementation, ensuring adherence to Client Specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on innovative low-carbon solutions.
- Manage design aspects of projects from beginning to end.
- Ensure compliance with Client specifications and regulatory standards.
- Generate design deliverables.
- Compile contract works information documents.
- Address project health, safety, quality, and environmental concerns.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders for projects.
- Implement project change control and program requirements.
- Act as Design Lead on assigned projects.
Requirements:
- Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of British and European design standards.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in design and construction environments.
- Valid UK Clean Driving Licence.
