Are you an experienced Forestry or environmental sustainability professional? Are you looking to work with an organisation that puts sustainability at the heart of its commercial business objectives? Join us and embark on this exciting, global decarbonisation project.
About the role
This is a brand-new role to the team here at Drax supporting our Bio Energy with Carbon Capture Storage (or BECCS) projects across the globe.
You'll be part of the UK Sustainability team and will manage analysis and planning of new sources of sustainable forestry feedstocks and other fibre as we look to create more 'New Build BECCS' sites throughout the world.
This role requires strategic thinking, a natural influencer and advocate for responsible supply.As a passionate ambassador for sustainability, you'll be proactive in promoting responsible sourcing within the business. You'll provide analysis and advise internal stakeholders on new feedstocks and their sustainability credentials. Ultimately, you'll be working directly with our project teams to deliver our sustainability goals to our new sources.
Drawing upon your leadership skills and strong supply chain experience, you'll identify potential risks and implement mitigation plans throughout the end-to-end lifecycle of fuel supply chain.
You'll be maintaining strong relationships with colleagues in the UK, US and Canada, in addition to and building direct supplier and stakeholder relationships globally.

You'll hold a relevant degree in areas such as Forestry, Environment or Agriculture. Experience of working with international supply chains and forestry or agricultural certification schemes would be an advantage.
Strong communication skills will be essential to this role, along with excellent experience of leading supply chain programmes and change management.
In this role you'll be a true innovator within the Sustainability Team, so your experience of working with diverse and global teams will truly come into play within this role.
