The Learning Disabilities service offers health support to adults who have a Learning Disability who live in Sheffield, we support a fabulous range of people from a really diverse background and although it can occasionally be challenging, no two days are the same.
The Business Support Team is well valued within Learning Disabilities, and we work alongside a highly specialist team to provide a great service.
The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality support to the Management Team and Clinical Leads, ensuring that work is produced in a professional and timely manner and supports client focussed, multi-disciplinary care delivery.
A key requirement of the role is the ability to organise their workload whilst working alongside the other administrative staff within the team.
It is essential that the post holder is able to utilise initiative suitable to the role and is fully supportive to other colleagues within the administrative team.
The post holder must be able to use their independent judgement with a wide variety of issues relating to the efficient running of the service.
Our work is client focused, so a good understanding of confidentiality for both service users and staff is important to us.
It's expected that you'll work Monday - Friday 9 am - 5pm as you'll be needed to provide cover for the telephones between these times.

- Provide a comprehensive Personal Assistant and administrative service to the Clinical Director, senior managers and Clinical Leads, including taking the initiative in prioritisation and organisation of electronic diary and workload.
- Provide effective administrative support and office systems for the service wide Clinical Director role and Clinical Leads within the Learning Disabilities Service.
- Act as first point of contact for the department with queries from clients, carers, clinical and managerial staff and members of the public with due regard to confidentiality, sensitivity and respect.
- Dealing with enquires to the team and liaising with clients, relatives and professionals from external agencies and the wider Trust, which include maintaining a confidential and accurate message system.
- Responsible for taking and transcribing of minutes and action logs of the team meetings; LD Leadership, LD Governance, Psychology Business meetings and other meetings as required.
- Initiate and maintain accurate information systems including recording annual leave, sickness, supervisions.
- Assimilate information and produce statistical reports in an easy to understand layout.
- To assist as appropriate on any local projects, ensuring that they are undertaken with mínimal disruption and maximum communication.
- Liaising with HR with regards to staffing issues and recruitment, arranging interview panels, completing electronic forms for HR issues.
