Tayside Psychological Therapies Service is seeking to fill a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist position focusing on Neuropsychology. Candidates should be dedicated to providing top-notch psychological services and share the values of NHS Tayside.
The selected candidate will carry out various duties to support the safe and efficient delivery of patient care, including audit & research, and providing direct patient assistance under the close supervision of qualified Psychologists. The role involves working with individuals who have acquired brain injuries or neurological conditions, including those facing challenges related to communication and behavior. Moreover, the post may involve assisting in teaching and training activities and contributing to the planning of new services. The position requires active participation in assessments and the implementation of psychological interventions within a multidisciplinary setting. Regular clinical supervision and peer support will be provided to the post-holder.
Candidates must have completed an undergraduate Psychology Honours Degree with Psychology as the main subject and obtained a minimum grade of 2:1. Additionally, the post-holder must be eligible for graduate basis registration with the British Psychological Society.
The Tayside region offers great opportunities for engaging in outdoor activities and exploring cultural interests. The recently opened V&A Museum of Design in Dundee is part of the city's exciting new waterfront development. Access to other major cities in Scotland is convenient. The Tayside Psychological Therapies service is a large and growing facility with a strong focus on training, where Assistant Psychologists are warmly welcomed as the future qualified staff.
