About the Role
Cygnet Health Care is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team in Scotland. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the psychological care of clients within health and social care services across Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Regional Lead Psychologist in the delivery and evaluation of effective services that meet Cygnet Healthcare's objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements, and user and carer needs and expectations.
- Administer, score, and report writing of psychometric assessments, standardized risk assessments, clinical formulation, and supervised individual and group interventions.
- Support the development of therapeutic relationships with clients and contribute to the creation of a safe and enabling environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
Requirements
- Good understanding of the role of therapeutic boundaries, clinical risk, and the importance of evidence-based interventions.
- Previous experience of working within mental health services and settings is essential.
- Further postgraduate training in relevant areas of applied psychology and mental health is desirable.
