About the Role
Cygnet Health Care is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team in Scotland. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality psychological care to our service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration, scoring, and report writing of psychometric assessments, standardised risk assessments, clinical formulation, and supervised individual and group interventions.
- Support the Regional Lead Psychologist in the delivery and evaluation of effective services that meet Cygnet Healthcare's objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements, and user and carer needs and expectations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans, ensuring that service users receive tailored support to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to service users, promoting their mental health and well-being.
- Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge as an Assistant Psychologist.
Requirements
- Good degree in Psychology, with further postgraduate training in a relevant area of applied psychology and mental health desirable.
- Previous experience of working within mental health services and settings, with a strong understanding of therapeutic boundaries, clinical risk, and evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
