About the Role

Cygnet Healthcare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our team in Scotland. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and evaluation of effective services that meet Cygnet's Healthcare objectives, national strategic and policy guidelines, commissioner requirements, and user and carer needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, score, and report on psychometric assessments, standardised risk assessments, and clinical formulation.
  • Support the Regional Lead Psychologist in the delivery of clinical interventions, including individual and group therapy.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring they meet the needs of clients and carers.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably in a clinical or counselling role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel between sites.
