Holyrood Care (Edinburgh) Ltd is looking to recruit an Administration Assistant/Receptionist for its Nursing Home based in Edinburgh City Centre.

The Company has provided over 30 years of quality care to residents in a friendly, cheerful environment.

This is a permanent post.

The post is full time 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday.

Main Duties:


Reception -answering telephone enquiries and e mails, dealing with visitors to the Home including relatives/healthcare professionals, handling resident and staff enquiries.


General Office tasks - filing, maintenance and updating of staff and resident records, calculation and collating of payroll data/ staff recruitment.

Cash handling and reconciliation of resident personal money accounts.

Typing - letters, care plans, contracts of employment. Minute taking as required.

Managing incoming and outgoing post.

Managing and maintenance of office supplies.

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access.
  • Experience of databases
  • Previous administration experience in a busy office environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of numeracy and literacy
  • Well organised and able to pay attention to detail
  • Able to work on own initiative but contribute as part of a team
  • Approachable and friendly disposition

Desirable:

  • Experience in Sage 50 accounts, Payroll and HR packages
  • Current driving license
