Independent Domestic Violence Advocate

As an IDVA you will provide a high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic violence and abuse through ongoing risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
Duties:
- Working closely with highrisk victims of domestic violence to provide a highquality independent advocacy and support service
- Managing a caseload Assessing referrals, signposting to additional services, and supporting client
- Understand legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims which include legal and civil options, housing, health, and finance.
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of Domestic Violence victims
- Ability to crisis manage and work well under pressure
- Strong organisation and diary management skills
- Enhanced DBS within the last 12 months
