Job Title: Independent Domestic Violence Advisor

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £29,426

Contract: 18 Months fixed

Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at highest risk. They will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and assessing the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
  • Providing a pro-active crisis intervention service through individual safety planning and personal support.
  • Working with high-risk victims of domestic abuse to help them access services to keep them and their children safe.
  • Advocating for high-risk victims with agencies who can help to address the domestic abuse.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and/or qualifications in areas around Domestic Violence. They will also have experience and knowledge of providing support to people with multiple and complex needs.

Additionally, they will have good communication skills, be resilient and robust with a positive outlook, and have the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

They will also be committed to quality, customer service, best practice, and best value in all aspects of the organisation's operation.

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor with Local Solutions, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing a high-quality service to victims of domestic abuse.

You will work closely with other agencies to ensure that the service is accessible to all and that the needs of victims are met.
