Surgical Specialties Training Programme Coordinator

Provide support as required for development of training programmes to strive for high quality training.Please note that designated specialties for this role may change depending on current requirements.
Co-ordinate the Local Faculty Groups surgical specialties, obstetrics and gynaecology, anaesthetics & ICU, ophthalmology and paediatrics training programmes and other specialties as may be specified from time to time.
Providing administrative support to College Tutors and support to trainee doctors. Provide support as required for development of training programmes to strive for high quality training.Please note that designated specialties for this role may change depending on LFG requirements.
Provide administrative support to the Junior Doctors Forum including organising the regular meetings by bookings rooms, circulating papers and arranging the catering and drafting the minutes.
Support the LED Tutor and SAS Tutor with regards to providing information and administrative assistance for the education and training of locally employed doctors (LEDs) and SAS doctors in the surgical specialties, O&G, anaesthetics & ICU, ophthalmology and paediatrics of all grades on their Continuous Professional Development for the purposes of revalidation and appraisal including support with relevant e-portfolio.
Assist in organising periodic education and training events for doctors of all grades in the relevant specialties, collating and evaluating feedback and assisting with preparing the annual report.
Liaise with Service Managers and rota coordinators to ensure departmental induction and teaching for the relevant specialties are arranged as required.
Provision of administrative support to the Medical Education Manager and Head of Medical Education and Training in organising events and sending out communications.
Lead on ensuring that stationery and other consumables (flipchart paper, marker pens and other educational resources etc) are maintained at an optimal level for the centres to run effectively Provide a front of house service for the postgraduate medical centres including answering telephone and face to face queries, processing room bookings, opening up the centre and setting up and closing down rooms.
