We have an amazing opportunity for a General Adult consultant psychiatrist to become part of our West Sussex Care Delivery Service at Langley Green Hospital. This position is located in the Amber Ward PICU, which caters to adults in need of psychiatric intensive care treatment.
- Recruitment and Retention Payment: 25,000, plus (up to) 8000 relocation allowance.
- 5000 payment upon appointment.
- 5000 retention payment at 12-month anniversary of employment.
- 6500 retention payment at 30-month anniversary of employment.
- 8500 retention payment at 48-month anniversary of employment.

Main duties of the job: Collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) on the ward to deliver outstanding care to admitted patients. Work closely with the acute in-patient services at Langley Green, across the Trust, and with community teams and the other PICU within the Trust located at Millview Hospital.
This role also supports research, development, medical education, or special interests. We value creating positions that not only offer a service but also enable you to nurture your own areas of special interest.

Person Specification - Essential:
- Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register OR eligibility within six months.
- Approved clinician status OR ability to attain within 3 months of appointment.
- Exceptional expertise in the specialty.
- Proficient in managing clinical complexity and uncertainty.
Desirable:
- MRCPsych qualification.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- In good standing with GMC concerning warnings and conditions on practice.
- Broad range of specialized and sub-specialized experience relevant to the post within the NHS or a similar service.
