Responsibilities

As Senior Quantity Surveyoryou'll commercially administer projects for utilitydiversions for HS2 for the C2 and C3 sectors between Aylesbury andWarwick. The successful post-holders' prime function is to increasevalue, reduce cost, drive profit and manage risk. The successfulcandidate will be expected to commercially manage a number ofprojects (typically 3-4) value ranging from £0.1m to £3m.

 

Your day to day willinclude:

  • Ensure cash flow ismaximised including ensuring payments are received ontime.
  • Provide commercial input includingfinancial and contractual performance forecasts to the managementteam.
  • Production of commercial reportstogether with review of results and consideration of trends withother contract team members
  • Implementation andcompliance with the contract change control procedure andmonitoring thereof including notices to client asappropriate.
  • Managing sub-contractorsincluding sending out enquiries, collating prices, comparing withtender, negotiation, order placement, agreement of account andpayment
