We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be part of our Natural Resources, Nuclear, and Networks division, focusing on multi-utility diversion projects for a significant initiative in the UK.

Location : Work will be conducted from various sites, with flexibility to work from home and proximity to your residence.

Contract : Permanent, Full Time – options for flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor , you will oversee the commercial management of utility diversion projects associated with the initiative, particularly within the C2 and C3 sectors. Your primary goal will be to enhance value, minimize costs, optimize profitability, and mitigate risks. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects (typically 3-4) with values ranging from £0.1m to £3m.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Maximizing cash flow by ensuring timely receipt of payments.
  • Providing commercial insights, including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
  • Preparing commercial reports and analyzing results alongside other contract team members.
  • Implementing and adhering to the contract change control procedures, including issuing notices to clients as necessary.
  • Managing subcontractors, which includes sending inquiries, gathering prices, comparing with tenders, negotiating, placing orders, and overseeing account agreements and payments.

This position of Senior Quantity Surveyor is ideal for individuals who possess:

  • Relevant experience in a similar capacity or are ready to advance into a senior role.
  • Familiarity with the administration of NEC3 form contracts.
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel as required.
