We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to become an integral part of our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks division, focusing on multi-utility diversion initiatives for a prominent project in the UK.
Location : The role will involve working from home and at various sites, primarily in the regions of Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire, tailored to your proximity.
Contract : This is a Permanent, Full-Time position, with options for flexible and part-time hours available upon request.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor , you will oversee the commercial management of utility diversion projects associated with the C2 and C3 sectors. Your primary objective will be to enhance value, minimize costs, optimize profits, and mitigate risks. You will be tasked with managing multiple projects (typically 3-4) with values ranging from £0.1m to £3m.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Maximizing cash flow by ensuring timely receipt of payments.
- Providing commercial insights, including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
- Generating commercial reports and analyzing results while considering trends with other contract team members.
- Ensuring adherence to the contract change control procedure and monitoring its implementation, including issuing notices to clients as necessary.
- Managing subcontractors by soliciting bids, comparing prices with tenders, negotiating, placing orders, and agreeing on accounts and payments.
Candidate Profile
This Senior Quantity Surveyor position is ideal for individuals who possess:
- Relevant experience in a similar capacity or are prepared to transition into a senior role.
- Familiarity with the administration of NEC3 contracts.
- Flexibility in working hours and travel as required.
