We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be part of our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks division, focusing on multi-utility diversion projects for a significant initiative in the UK.
Location : Work will be conducted from various sites, with flexibility to work from home and at locations nearest to your residence.
Contract : Permanent, Full Time – options for flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor , you will oversee the commercial aspects of utility diversion projects associated with the C2 and C3 sectors. Your primary objective will be to enhance value, minimize costs, drive profitability, and manage associated risks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the commercial management of several projects, typically ranging in value from £0.1m to £3m.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Maximizing cash flow by ensuring timely receipt of payments.
- Providing commercial insights, including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team.
- Preparing commercial reports and analyzing results while considering trends with other contract team members.
- Implementing and adhering to the contract change control procedure, including issuing notices to clients as necessary.
- Managing subcontractors, which includes sending out inquiries, gathering prices, comparing with tenders, negotiating, placing orders, and agreeing on accounts and payments.
Qualifications and Skills Required
This position of Senior Quantity Surveyor is ideal for candidates who possess:
- Relevant experience in a similar role or readiness to transition into a senior position.
- Familiarity with the administration of NEC3 form contracts.
- Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel as required.
