We are recruiting a Volunteering Manager to develop PAPYRUS’ volunteering offer, embedding a culture of best practice volunteering across the organisation.
What you will do:
· Design and embed a Volunteering Strategy for the organisation, raising our profile and making PAPYRUS a great choice for those who wish to volunteer.
· Ensure effective volunteer recruitment, training, and employee and volunteer engagement, working closely with the People and Culture Department to develop a culture of best practice.
· Drive the effective performance of the Volunteering department.
· Develop, implement and manage the volunteering provision across the organisation to ensure best practice in volunteering is established and maintained.
· Promote volunteering opportunities by raising awareness in corporate and private sector through direct contact e.g. presentations and talks, recruitment fairs and community events.
To be successful in this role you will have:
· Volunteer Management qualification or equivalent experience
· Previous successful experience working as a Volunteer Manager
· Proven experience of programme and product evaluation and quality assurance
· Experience of identifying gaps in the market for products through customer engagement.
· Ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships and communicate across all levels of the organisation
· Ability to travel across the UK as required by the charity

Salary: £37,336 per annum (Scale SCP 29) progressing by increments to £40,221 per annum (Scale SCP 32) If based in the London office, you will receive an additional cost of living allowance of £5,000 per annum.
Hours: 36 hours per week Contract: Permanent
Location: Warrington, Newcastle, London, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, Belfast, or Glasgow. Applications will also be considered based at any hubs nationwide, please see our website for further information on our other locations. There will also be a requirement to travel across the UK.
