The Workplace Services team made up of over 600 people and are part of the wider Central Business Services (CBS) function, are responsible for managing the workplace environment that enable over 20,0000 Deloitte people in the UK to do business with their clients. By creating the right spaces and infrastructure they ensure Deloitte colleagues can work how, where and when it suits them in a sustainable, safe, and secure way.

The Workplace Business Lead, part of the Workplace Services management team, provides crucial support to the leadership in pursuit of long-term goals. This involves a focus on strategic planning, continuous prioritisation, ownership and management of various areas such as meetings governance, objectives management and stakeholder engagement, all underpinned by reporting, insights, and a dedicated focus on continuous improvement.

The role also encompasses business change management and ad-hoc leadership of small projects.

The Workplace Services team are a 'people led', 'environmentally friendly' and 'data driven' function. Their wide range of services and support at a national level, includes coffee bars to cleaning, floor management to front of house client services, grounds maintenance to gyms, security to sustainable environments, and energy to engineering.

They use advanced analytics, with a focus on service excellence, accountability, and an ambition to evolve (by using modern technologies, by supporting new ways of working and by ensuring scalability), all informing their position as advisors to their customers and clients on leading workplace solutions that make an impact that matters.

Working in a diverse and unique environment, the individual, reporting directly into the head of the department, will;
Aid the leadership in realising their vision and strategy by consistently reviewing and prioritising based on the business needs. The individual will collaborate closely with the Programme Management Team to communicate priorities and utilise this as a foundation for leadership discussions. Take responsibility for overseeing meeting governance within the function, collaborating with leadership to assess and enhance it in response to evolving needs, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to efficiently manage time and deliver a seamless service to Deloitte. Additionally, lead a variety of meetings, including operational and strategic leadership meetings, collaboration days, and financial approval board meetings. Take the lead in senior-level stakeholder engagement for the function, through two-way engagement from listening to feedback and improving spaces, to consistently showcasing the function's value to the business by highlighting successes, case studies, and acknowledging the efforts of their people. Manage the functional and departmental objectives from development stage at leadership level through to regular tracking and reporting with insights and progress plans. Additionally, there is potential to take the lead on business change initiatives beyond the operational team, managing small projects, and coordinating other business requests and requirements from various functions and departments.

You facilitate discussions between various departments and teams and hold strategic and problem-solving capabilities.

It is essential that you;
Have the demonstrated ability to collaborate for measurable impact through working effectively across multiple teams and levels of seniority in a corporate environment, whilst demonstrating adaptability and discretion when navigating often sensitive matters. Demonstrate strong organisational and prioritisation skills using tools and resources within the team to streamline processes and workflows enabling the function to deliver their vision and strategy and support the leadership team to keep on track. Are a multi-tasker who can demonstrate agility to meet deadlines, often with short notice, while maintaining attention to detail and always serving with integrity. The team desire someone who can quickly adapt to the corporate environment and integrate efficiently into the role as a fast learner during this temporary period.
