ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you passionate about making a difference in people's lives? We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Intensive Housing Management Officer to join our team in Luton. In this role, you will provide vital residential support to single men aged 18 and over, helping them build brighter futures.

Our service offers 9 units of accommodation, each designed to support men with housing-related needs. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in:

Enhancing personal safety, health, and security through meaningful social interactions. Supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies and achieve financial independence. Promoting economic wellbeing and helping residents reintegrate into the community.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9 - 5 face to face in service

What we are looking for:

IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience is required Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs Able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others

What we would like, but not essential:

Appropriate qualification: NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice, or professional equivalent Experience creating co-produced support plans and providing appropriate interventions for service user and liaising with other professionals Experience in providing housing support and practical assistance within a residential or outreach support role Previous experience in a similar organisation/industry/role

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for all aspects of tenancy management which includes but is not limited to, signing up new residents, providing licensing agreements, inductions, and occupancy management. Assist the management team in managing rent/charge collections, arrears, voids, and issuing warnings as necessary. Carry out regular occupancy checks. Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard. Develop, participate in, and encourage residents/participants to participate in the running and development of various projects, enterprises, and activities.
