Job Description

Job Title: Accommodation and Housing Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Accommodation and Housing Officer to join our team at Homeless Link. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing vital residential support to individuals in need, helping them build brighter futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of tenancy management, including signing up new residents, providing licensing agreements, inductions, and occupancy management.
  • Assist the management team in managing rent/charge collections, arrears, voids, and issuing warnings as necessary.
  • Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard.
  • Develop, participate in, and encourage residents/participants to participate in the running and development of various projects, enterprises, and activities.

Requirements:

  • NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care/Community Justice, or professional equivalent.
  • Experience in providing housing support and practical assistance within a residential or outreach support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • IT proficiency, with the ability to learn new software programs and basic Microsoft experience.
