Our Event Operations Executive is responsible for the coordination of Mercia's events and will support our Event Operations Manager in organising and planning these to ensure all are a success.

As our Events Operations Executive you will be responsible for:

  • Leading on our conferences and other events, ensuring timely presentation to our Event Operations Manager.
  • Collaborating with various departments to ensure our events run smoothly.
  • Planning events according to specific guidelines, collaborating with others as needed.
  • Monitoring event feedback in line with our KPIs and escalating any client service issues.
  • Managing relationships with external venue finders.
  • Supporting event logistics and special projects as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining long-term business relationships, acting as an advocate and liaison at all levels.
  • Keeping client data records in the relevant TMS databases.
  • Processing event-related invoices promptly.
  • Coordinating with event speakers on schedules, materials, and technical details.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as proofreading and updating marketing materials.
  • Handling accommodation and travel arrangements.
  • Overseeing on-site event operations to ensure smooth execution.
  • Data collation to support the event marketing activities.
  • Preparing reports and visuals that demonstrate achievements against KPIs.
  • Playing an active role in implementing the upcoming Training Management Systems.
  • Managing diaries for Mercia s consulting and lecturing staff.
  • Monitoring and resolving cases in Salesforce daily.
  • Leading and managing the calling campaign for each conference to achieve a 70% retention rate.
  • Line management responsibilities, as required.

In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:

  • Intermediate Excel skills with CRM experience.
  • Ability to problem-solve and take ownership until a resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding personal organisation and time management skills.
  • Experience working across multiple departments in a deadline and target-driven environment.
  • Analytical and process orientated mindset.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in the same or similar role
  • Salesforce experience.
