About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Produce and manage subcontract documentation, including negotiation of terms and conditions, prices, and programme.
  • Contract Administration: Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
  • Commercial Notices: Produce and issue commercial notices to clients and subcontractors.
  • Change Management: Manage change in accordance with the contract, including Compensation Event Quotations.
  • Reporting: Produce and agree monthly applications to clients, detailed monthly reports, and Cost Value Reconciliation's (CVR).
  • Cost Planning: Produce and maintain a detailed 'Cost Plan' and interpret expenditure reports.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with operational and engineering staff for proper site records keeping and attend progress and risk reduction meetings with clients and subcontractors.
About You
  • Contract Knowledge: Good understanding of standard contract forms.
  • Technical Skills: Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Contractual and Cost Management Systems.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid knowledge of construction processes.
  • Time Management: Excellent time and outcome management skills.
