Here at Pembrokeshire we are proud to have been named amongst the top performing Local Authorities for recycling in Wales for the last four years and we are looking for new Waste and Recycling Centre Attendants to join our innovative recording breaking Waste and Recycling service.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team. A rewarding and demanding role, you will be assisting in the management and leadership of our crews, delivering and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will ensure that all refuse and recyclable material collected from households and businesses across Pembrokeshire is sorted, separated and bulked appropriately. You will ensure safe working practices are used, as well as ensuring that the highest standard of service is delivered.

You will be actively supporting PCC to achieve its core objective to be one of the top recycling Authority’s in Wales and making a greener and cleaner Pembrokeshire. You will also support our ambitions surrounding continuous service improvement for an efficient and effective service whilst meeting Welsh Government’s targets and legislation.

Roles Available

We are seeking a permanent post for a Waste and Recycling Supervisor

Requirement of the role.

A valid driving licence is essential, preferably with HGV.

Must be physically fit, able to be active across the county, assisting with manual handling duties when required.

Able to work effectively as part of a team to manage individuals and crews and able to use own initiative.

High degree of awareness in respect of health and safety in relation to manual handling and vehicular operations.

Good customer service skills, working in a public facing role engaging with customers.

Requirement to be literate and numerate in order to accept and provide work instructions and complete necessary documentation, with the ability to use IT systems.

There may be opportunities for overtime and a requirement to work bank holidays and weekends.
