Assisting in the administration of plant and transport functions across the water business. This will include face-to-face, telephone and written communication with all levels within the organisation and with external parties such as suppliers, hire companies, statutory bodies, etc. Responsibilities include;
Responsibilities
- Validating weekly hire records to ensure accuracy is maintained within the accounting system
- Liaising with ULIS Plant & Vehicle Department regarding hiring & off-hiring of plant & equipment.
- Booking of plant/equipment in and out of the workshop.
- Checking Purchase Orders for the hire of plant/equipment.
- Weekly stocktakes/plant checks (including continuous audits of multiple gangs).
- Arranging services though the lease companies.
- Liaising with Contract/Site Managers.
- Any other duties reasonably assigned
- Candidates must be computer literate and, ideally, have experience/knowledge of plant & equipment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Methodical and thorough approach to work.
- Organised.
- A desire to show initiative.
