As the Quality Manager for the Wood Green Community Diagnostic Centre (WG CDC) the post holder will be responsible for monitoring adherence to the several quality standards that apply to the safe and efficient operation of the CDC services. This particular CDC is going through the UKAS accreditation process and require a high-calibre professional to support the operational manager and clinical leads in compiling the full evidence of high-quality standard of provided services.

The post holder will work closely with service operational and clinical leads to measure the departments performance against the Quality Standard for Imaging, Improving Quality in Physiological Services and ISO 15189 standards . Establishing a programme for continued improvement and ensuring the delivery of key performance standards are the key components of this job.

The post holder will be responsible for setting up and managing the Quality Management Framework and System. Writing and modifying SOPs for global aspects of the facility and supporting the modality leads in the creation and maintenance of their individual SOPs is part of the core duties.The post holder will support the management team in managing performance through presentation and analysis of the quality performance data. The post holder will provide quality data to relevant internal and external meetings and will co-chair the Quality and Governance team meetings with the relevant leads.

Main duties of the job

Main duties and responsibilities

To lead the UKAS and Regulatory assessment and audit processes

To ensure that the Quality Management System is implemented and maintained

Develop and ensure a sign off for the local SOPs and policies and to ensure their compliance with the relevant regulations (e.g. infectious control, health and safety, manual handling)

To report to the operational and clinical leads on the functioning and effectiveness of the Quality Management System

Responsible for production of the Quality Manual for the services in order to support the accreditation process

To ensure that the quality management system functions correctly by developing, managing and maintaining regular quality meetings

Will be designing and delivering presentations to a wide variety of delegates, up to and including NCL and board level on highly complex issues:

Recognise data quality problems and bring them to the attention of senior staff

Develop and implement a programme of non-clinical audits in liaison with clinical teams

Encourages leadership and staff commitment to complete a full audit schedule

Collects and controls information from audit findings from internal and external quality assessment and reviews regularly with the Senior Team

  • Qualification in Management, Quality Management, Project Management or equivalent

Desirable


  • Masters degree or equivalent
  • DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC registration
