We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team.
Develop, implement, and monitor existing quality systems for the production of chilled and frozen ready meals at our Food Production unit in Heston, TW5.
Ensure that our quality systems adhere to quality standards, SALSA accreditation, customer expectations, legislative requirements, and industry standards.
Verify that all food and beverages produced by RG Heston meet legal requirements and RG specifications.
Manage and develop processes for seamless technical complaint handling and food quality assurance.
Reporting to the RG Health & Food Safety Manager, you will lead the QA function for RG Heston, establishing robust, industry-leading QA management processes. Control and implement the QA system to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and customer requirements, maintaining SALSA accreditation.
Monitor and audit all aspects of the QA system, addressing non-conformances promptly and implementing robust solutions to prevent recurrence (with the internal audit schedule as a primary monitoring tool).
Manage the microbiological testing regime and analyse food and environmental sampling.
Support Operations in resolving issues related to process variability, raw material changes, and other ad hoc projects.
Advise and support the Operations team in evaluating NPD ideas based on safety, quality, and nutritional parameters.
Stay informed about industry developments, proactively identifying potential changes to policies and procedures.
Address legal contraventions identified by EHOs during inspections in a timely manner.
A degree or equivalent in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge and experience within a Food Safety/Quality or HACCP supervisor role.
Familiarity with food production environments, particularly chilled and frozen ready meals.
Working knowledge of microbiological standards and robust food sampling and cleaning practices.
Understanding of certificated food production standards such as BRC or SALSA.
